Default Dropped curve in water...

Please Login to Remove!

Yesterday I dropped my curve in water. I took it out quickly and removed the battery. I let it dry and set it in rice overnight. I plugged it up and a red light came on at first, then a flashing yellow light. Now a steady green light will come on, but the phone still won't. What does this mean?

You didn't let it dry enough, and you'll need to buy a new one.

Need to let it be inthe bag of rice for 3 to 5 days. It is probably toast.

You could put it back in the rice, like Dubdub said, keep the battery out until the 5th day, keeping the rice in a very warm area (I suggest on top of the Fridge, near the back), and then put the batt back in and see if it reboots. Some BB's are just flukes when it comes to water immersion. I had an 8700 that sat in a glass of soda(!) ín the fridge for 8 days before I found it and dried it. Fired right up. Had a 7100 that quit working after I took a shower with it in the bathroom. Its a crap shoot, good lock and let us know it goes.

1: How the hell did your cellular phone end up in a glass of soda?
2: How did you not notice it for over a week?

I've used 2 methods that work.

1.) Put it in rice for a few days

2.) Cover all holes except for 1.. use a Dyson vacuum to suck all the moisture out.

Use a hair dryer on medium temperature to speed up the drying and put on rice after.
If lucky, it might still works.
