If it was on, then you have some data intensive apps running in the back ground. Rememeber that when you finish using an app, make sure you close and exit, not just back out.

Are you in a 3G fringe area? If so and the device is lookign for a good signal which will drain the battery.

Check out our FAQ for an article on how to Maximize Battery Life.

yes it was on.. now i get 3g in my are well so it couldent be that... but i always sign out of facebook after using that app.. and the only other app i use is twitter and the browser app.. and of course bbm but that shouldn't have made it do that.. but i just started signing out of twitter when ever im done instead of pressing the end button so maybe the battery life will improve a little.

Are you in in any BBM groups?

Members entering into BBM groups will drain the battery like crazy sometimes.

Hmm ... I had some crazy battery drains yesterday that I attributed to BBM Groups and/or the Twitter app.

Maybe something else was going on. The other thing you can do (if you are able) is to just leave the device plugged in. That won't hurt anything.

You can't overcharge a BlackBerry battery.

You won't "hurt" the battery by leaving it plugged in. It will stop charging when it's done.

And you won't "hurt" the battery by charging it "when its not ready to be".

Charge it early and often is the best way to get the most out of your battery.

As stated above, data usage equals proportional battery drain.

Here's how you can track all data usage for free, and sleep easy, without wondering ....

E-Office Mobile Data Alerter (Free - it says Trial, but if its a single user, you get a free license - they only Trial date usage for Corporate Licences)

Turn off your wifi and bluetooth when you're not using it and also having long text messages conversations can also drain the battery according to the blackberry help page.
