Its enhanced call audio.
green call button - menu - options - general - and its one or both of the bottom 2 options.

excuse my ignorance but what is enhanced call audio

Go where I told you.
You can set stuff like BASS BOOST etc.
Change the options to normal and the icon disappears.

and i believe the icon can change. lower left to upper right means enhanced treble and upper left to lower right means enhanced base. the option with icon has been around for a few years
