Default 8820 headphone music listening

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have added an media card ( 8gb ) to my 8820 in hopes of loading music to listen to through my device. I have the adapter to get the headphone jack to fit the device but plugging them in the music continues to play out of the device speaker externally and the voice command comes up and says "Please say a command"

1. Can music come through the headphones only somehow?

2. why when I plug in the headphones is the voice command feature activating asking me to "say a command" to dial a number from my phone book?

Thanks.

1st, this is the 8220 forum, not the 8820 forum.
2nd, it sounds like the adapter you have doesn't have the appropriate connector points on it. Just because it fits in the hole, doesn't mean it is the right connector. Do you have the original headphone/bud that came with it?

To listen music with your 8820 you need this: http://shop.crackberry.com/blackberr...73A74A1210.htm

OP:

Would it be possible to clarify if you are using an 8820 or an 8220? Also, could you update your device in your profile? You are currently showing an 8700.

Thanks!

actually he had a 8820 as he had stated and he needed an adapter, which I sold to him and as far as I know everything is fine now.
