Google Sync also works on my Blackberry Bold 9700... however, the results of the sync leave a lot to be desired.. when modifying some contacts, I'll sometimes get duplicate entries or "ghost" entries. If I delete the "ghost"/"duplicate" entries and leave 1 copy of the contact, it will sometimes delete the contact altogether.

Not that this helps you, but it works for me as well.

I'm assuming you've tried a battery pull?

Same here, drove me insane which is why I ended up disabling it. 5 entries for 1 contact - my OCD cannot handle it

I cannot get it to work either (to OP). It will not do anything once I click sync. It just sort of sits there...

My google sync works great with my appointments, but for some reason it won't sync the "holidays" calendar. I tried reinstalling and still no luck

Google Sync works perfectly for me and my wife. I have the 9700 she has a 9500. We sync both our calendars, contacts and holidays with no duplications! The key to no dups are to make sure your default Services are all set to your gmail accounts. Once this is done I have never had any dupes since...

Hello everyone. I just got the bold 9700. This is my first blackberry so I'm new to how they work. I'm having the same problem msteadman and lmcjipo were experiencing. I have multiple entries for some of my contacts and it's driving me crazy. I keep deleting duplicates, only to check again later and find four more. For the same contact!

How the hell do I stop this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

My google sync created one contact 1500 times! I think the best fix for duplicates contact is to sign onto your gmail account, go into "Contacts" and then to "Find duplicate contacts". It will find all your duplicates and then, upon command, merge them. The next time you sync, it will also be fixed on your bb.

Default Google Sync

My Google Sync was duplicating my contacts each time I click Sync now. After exporting your Google contacts as Outlook file then importing them to Outlook, remove Google Apps, install BB Desktop Manager on your computer then Sync with Outlook. Now all the Gmail contact are on the BB.
However that caused another problem for me. I am no longer able to re-install Google Sync on my BB 9700. I keep getting an error message "Device Not Supported".
I do know that it is supported because it was working yesterday. I tried to change the BB Language but that did not fix the problem.
Any suggestions ???

Default Found the answer to download and install Google Sync

http://m.google.com/sync (one backspace to delete the www.) should give you the download as long as you have data enabled.

I installed it, tested it and all is working fine.
