Default ATT getting ready to roll out new BB soon??

Please Login to Remove!

I was just over at the wireless site and noticed that all the selections for Blackberry were missing. This leads me to believe that they are getting ready to roll out the new phones pretty soon (like in the next few days.)

Any thoughts?

I guess you can always hope.
But I don't think so.

For some reason, they aren't showing up on the ATT Premier site. Oh well.

Don't the GSM companies roll out new Blackberrys in November usually?

I didn't realize there was a schedule. I guess the 8520 in August won't fit!

I think he meant as far as the main pre-holiday releases, like last year we had devices such as the bold, 8900 and storm as new releases on various carriers.

Well, the Bold was supposed to be rolled out in May, but got delayed...

And the Gemini will be out in the summer. Others to follow. I guess they could be considered main pre Holiday but I don't subscribe to that idea

Just because some blogs like to claim something was due at a particular time, doesn't actually make it true.

For devices coming out in the second half of the year, the main time periods would tend to be back to school and before the end of year holidays, it looks like the 8520 will hit the former (like the pearl flip last year)and then presumably the aim for onyx and storm 2 will be to hit the other like storm and bold did last year.

Now obviously they can get them out sooner if they are ready, but its a lot easier for people to get upgraded contracts if they have had one a year already, so volume shipping by that point is probably their aim.

The interesting thing will be whether or not they can actually manage to get anything else out before the end of the year without the blogs picking up on it, we must be well overdue for a 3g pearl for example.
