I work in a hydroelectric generating station and when when EMF interferes with my cell phone; it drains the battery but the problem is it can't recover from losing the signal and drains the battery as fast as pouring a cup of water in the sink. Has anybody experience this at all?

Is the issue EMF (Electromotive force)?- I would suspect EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) would be the culprit- RF (radio frequency) interference or the concrete and steel that surrounds you. This will xxx8220;blockxxx8221; the BB from receiving the cellular network. The BB then continues to search for the cellular network which requires much more power than the usual connected state.
When in the hydroelectric generating station, note if your BB is searching for a cell site. If so, turn the network connection off until you can connect to the network and preserve your battery.
