Exclamation BlackBerry 9000 WAP browser icon

Please Login to Remove!

I have a situation:

I have a "internet browser" on my blackberry - this one is OK.
BUT I recently got a WAP browser icon appeared on my main menu.

You know the globe with "WAP" written on it. and when I highlighted it said "Telkomsel" which is my carrier name.

What I dont understand is that...I dont need this WAP thing...and I have not been having it from day one. But now it suddenly appear. How to get rid of it because I dont really need this extra WAP browser icon as I already have my carrier homepage recorded withing my Internet Browser. This is just another annoying duplicate with "WAP" written on it.

Anyone can help me with this. Thanks

It's delivered by your carrier. If you delete the service book for it, it will eventually come back.
Just hide it.

You know, how you have six icons on the bottom of your Home screen? Well, it isn't really obvious, unless you know you can do this, but you can not only change the icons you see, but you can also change the order that they appear, from left to right.

Just push the BlackBerry menu once to go to the Home folder. You will see a bunch of icons. At the very top, you will see six icons, and they are the same ones that you have on your Home screen. Highlight one of the top ones, and then push the BlackBerry menu. There are three menu items that you will see:
1. Move
2. Move To Folder
3. Hide

The "Hide" menu option means hide this icon from view on this Home folder, as well as on the Home screen. If you want to see it again, just choose the Show All menu item, which makes icons transparent, and then highlight that icon, and uncheck the Hide property on it - this will unhide the icon, to show it, everywhere, once again.

But these other two menu items were strange to me, coming from Windows Mobile: "Move" and "Move To Folder". This seemed redundant to me, until I realized what they did.

"Move" really means "re-order this icon, within the current folder". For example, if the top-most, left-most icon in the Home folder is the Messages icon, that will be the very first icon on your Home screen, on the far left. But say that you want the Browser icon in this position on the Home screen. Just highlight the Browser icon, click the Move menu item in the blackBerry menu, and move the icon to the left-most spot on the Home folder, with the trackball. Done. Note that no matter what icons you have in your Home folder, the first six are the ones that you will see on your Home screen. Try to make them ones that you use the most. My six Home screen icons are as such: Messages, Calendar, Browser, Facebook, Google Mobile App, SMS and MMS.

"Move To Folder" simply means move an icon to another folder; e.g., moving an icon from the Home folder to the Applications folder.

Like I said, Windows Mobile doesn't do these sorts of thing, and it was all very new to me. I hated the AT&T Bloatware, the Yahoo! icon and the WAP icon, and couldn't figure out how to make them go away. Besides that, whatever is at the top is easier to see when you open a folder, so hide the crap like AT&T Mall (whoops, did I say that out loud?), or at least, move it down to the bottom of the folder.

Yeah, its pretty annoying. Especially when there is no real need for it. Such as AT&T having the Media WAP browser, and only works on 3G, which is ok, but the vids suck, blah!
