Default Hi, Im New... Just got a 9700!

Please Login to Remove!

Just got my 9700! This is my first blackberry, and I must say... this is one sexy phone!

I recently had the HTC Fuze

I didn't think I could love a phone more than my HTC Fuze, but this phone is my most favorite phone EVER! Maybe it's just my location, but I'm getting full 3G signal in places that I could not get before!

The track pad is heaven-sent and the looks of this phone are just perfect...

I don't even want to put a case on the phone because I love how it looks naked!!!! LOL

But I also want to protect it... :\

I seriously have NO complaints whats so ever..

Paid $299 with Contract Renewal

Well I seem to be the only one in the world who uses these, but Bodyguardz has nice clear coverings. There are others, but you get 2 sets from these guys in the first order and they have a lifetime replacement policy so you can get more for a small fee.

BodyGuardz for BlackBerry Bold 9700 - BodyGuardz

My current set has lasted almost a year, with just a little bit of peel up now. Very hard to tell it's on there and will even fit into the RIM charging pod.

I was on a trip last week that had me driving across New Mexico with three other guys. I'm on AT&T and my BB was getting 4 bars the entire time. The other guy there on AT&T had an iPhone and he couldn't get more than 1 bar. The other guys were hovering around 1-2 bars (different carriers, but I don't remember which - also non-BB).

I've used the Zagg Invisible Shield on my current phone, and although I loved it, it yellowed badly. Does the Bodyguardz yellow? I'm guessing it does as all of these types of covers that I've seen yellow.

The first Bodyguardz I had did yellow. Back then they were much thicker and I think they claimed they were the material used on Blackhawk blades. They also grabbed at the edges so wore out in maybe 6 months if pocket carried.

But the new ones, which they now say are the same material used on invisible car coverings, are much thinner. So they stick much better to the point where mine looks like I put them on last month. I can not see any yellowing.

I imagine if I pulled it off and slapped it on paper, it'd show, but on the phone I can't see any darkening or anything. Since the edges no longer grab and stick up, they don't show any color either. If I get a new phone soon and sell my old one, I'll be able to figure it out as I'll take the covering off to show it's pristine. I still have a spare set I can give the buyer.
