Wow, I am not eligible for an upgrade and was prepared to pay $500... well, my company was. And I will happily sign a new 2 yr contact with ATT. But anything above $500 and I am just going to wait. $750 is absurd.

I used my college alumni email address to open a premier acct and ordered that way.. $299.99 no rebates to speak of, other blogs have people saying they are getting it for $199.00

just received an email from AT&T that they shipped my 9700 and it will arrive tomorrow! FEDEX shows it as having left Fort Worth, TX this afternoon and a delivery by 3pm tomorrow!

FEDEX claims to have picked it up at 12:48 pm and it left FEDEX origin facility at 2:44 pm. I am amazed how fast that shipped. Did not expect it to ship until tomorrow.

Default Ordered!

I ordered mine via a phone call. I originally called Premier, but was transferred to Business Care (long story + 2 1/2 hr. call). For my troubles I was given 100 off the original 299.95 price and was given a 31.99 billing credit for the time spent on the phone just trying to get some answers about accessories. I paid for the overnight delivery and it should be here tomorrow. So I got a 9700 for basically $167.96 (overnight shipping was 14.95, but that was my choice) with the normal included accessories and a very long phone call. I would like to add that all five of the customer care reps were very pleasant. One of the CC reps did state at first that this was not a current AT&T phone, but quickly got an education by me and the computer sitting in front her. She turned out to be a very good rep that was just uninformed from above.

Default Delivered!

Fed Ex just dropped it off. It took 18 hours from order to delivery. That is from Texas to New Hampshire. Awesome! I'm off to work so I'll have to get it configured later. So it is not a myth, AT&T really does have the 9700!

I ordered mine yesterday at 6:15 pm eastern time and I can't believe how fast it got here. Fedex just dropped it off! I'm excited. I've read all the issues Tmobile useres are having with thier 9700, dropped 3G service, Facebook issues and more. I wonder if we (AT&T) user's will have some of the same issues. I'm on my way home now to try mine. Those of you that have yours already do you have any those issues????

I got mine today and I'm enjoying the trackpad, Must say it's going to take time getting use to the smaller keyboard compared to the 9000. Hope all 9700 user's enjoy.

I must agree, I love the new BB, but not sure about the smaller keyboard. I'm sure i'll get use to it. Everything else is damn good. Maybe know I can stop bouncing back and forth between the iphone and the BB. Hopefully im here to stay. Bouncing around is getting me dizzy.

I wonder when they are going to release it to the general pop? I suspect there will be a price drop for corporate customers then (at least I hope so).

According to an email I just received from AT&T, November 22nd is correct. No word on a price drop but I doubt it. Perhaps a retailer, Walmart for example, will offer some type of discount though assuming they will carry it.

I'm a bit worried about the smaller keyboard as I have pretty big hands. On the 9000 I'm extremely fast and can easily type without looking at the phone. Also I know it is a small or nonexistent factor for some, but I LOVE the 9000's speakers. I often use it as a mini radio for playing Pandora.

That said, I rarely keep a phone over a year and according to AT&T the only way for me to reinstate insurance on my account (it was canceled due to two claims within a year) is to buy a new phone. Evidenced by the two claims, not having insurance is certainly not a smart status for me... Decision decisions!

I am going to try the 9700 out as soon as it is available at my local store. Assuming the keyboard seems workable, as in it will require a learning curve but not be an impossibly for me, I will most likely purchase it. I am upgrade eligible so hopefully they do not try to give me the shaft.

I received my BOLD 9700 last nite and though it's not as large as the 9000 I still like it and find it pretty easy to type on the keypad without issue.

Good to hear. I'm assuming there will be a bit of a learning curve but I can't imagine the smaller keyboard being a huge issue. Can't wait to try it out!
