New member and new user to the blackberry series and just thought i'd read up on what the phone has to offer and stumbled upon your theme.
Wow, really, just wow. great work but am wondering though whether you plan on porting this to the older 7130e which is the one i'm starting off with to test the waters, if you will with teh blackberry series.

Thumbs up

Hey M.A.T. -

This Today Theme (I think that's the one - the one with the Messages, Calendar on the screen) has reallysaved me on my new Curve. It's great! I haven't tried your latest update yet.

I thought of another enhancement but I don't know if it's possible. Like the 8100 version of this concept, have 4-5 applications permanently showing on the bottom of the screen. In essence, you can have your most used applications right there on the main screen. Do you know what I mean?

Even cooler would be to have them pop up when you touch the bottom of the screen but I bet that's impossible.

I also wonder if there is even enough screen real estate available to do this.

---

You have inspired me to check out the theme making software. I've only bookmarked the software page. Step one!

You should set up a PayPal account for this. People should pay you a couple dollars. Ten dollars is a bit outrageous in my opinion but a few bucks here and there could add up.

---

Keep up the great work! Thanks!

And he is charging $10.

This one seems to be a close second and the price is more appropriate.

Glad to hear you're liking the theme. I haven't posted the latest update (soon though). You can do all the stuff you are talking about but as far as I can tell you need to get under the hood and do some coding. I'm pretty sure I could figure it out if I set my mind to it but I barely have time to make graphics and honestly I like the zen icons on the left as opposed to the bottom so I just can't get motivated. I'm hoping the next release of plazmic has more options.

I'm glad to hear that you're inspired. Hopefully you have the software up and running when I post the theme files.

I'm about to put up a website... kind of a tech blog type thing that also promotes web design and consulting (been doing this on the side for a while so I need a web presence anyway). I'll have my themes there for download and will be accepting pay pal donations but I'll never charge for any of my themes.

I've had so many special requests that I've decided to post the theme files for the zen and today version of this theme. I hope those that had requests will be able to make the enhancements they would like to see and I also hope others interested in creating themes can benefit from it. I'm all about sharing. If you do create your own theme using some of my work please show me what you've made!

To download the .thm files you will need to go to this link and visit my boys over at BlueRoomSolution.

Regarding an icon version.... I made it and it looks really bad. Since the icon version icons are 53x48 pixels instead of 48x36 pixels it makes the profiles icon in the banner distorted and grainy. The icons also just look huge and well I don't like it. I can't put out work that I don't endorse and wouldn't use myself. If anyone wants to give the icon version a try PM me your e-mail addy and I'll send it to you.

Forgot to mention that I've updated the today and zen versions. See the first post for details. The ota links are not updated yet but will be at some point in the near future. I'll post when they are.

Edit: OTA links are up now.

Could you lighten up the battery charging indicator (lightning bolt) so that it too is more readable? I ask only because I intend to use this theme for a long, long time. Thanks for making it available.

Default For the Pearl?

Hey M.A.T. I love this theme and am jealous of all the other Blackberry users who get to use it - my current theme is lousy and needs an update. When are the Pearl users gonna get some Elemental action?
