Default 7230 + Idokorro / Midpssh

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I currently have a 7230 with T-mobile on a full data plan with an upgrade OS to 4.0 and have installed a trial version of Idokorro as well as midpssh. I've confirmed TCP settings are correct by setting APN to wap.voicestream.com and being able to connect to VeriChat and t-zones web successfully.

My issue is with SSH as I cannot connect to any server on multiple networks. Midpssh doesn't generate any error messages, however I get something similar to the following with Idokorro which is what I'm ideally looking to get working so I can purchase a license:

java.IOException Malfunction error.
sometimes an Unable to open connection error.

I know my error messages are rather vague but please let me know if anyone has a hint to the error, I'd be more than happy to supply any additional information.

Thanks for the assistance.

There is a possibility that T-Mobile has blocked the SSH port. Not 100% sure.

Can you test telnet? Does it work when you connect to port 80 of a HTTP server? Type something and hit Enter -- and when you hit Enter, it will dump some gobbleddygook web server error message. If telnet works and it works on port 80, then the problem is not with the software, it's likely a problem with port-blocking on the SSH port.

If you have control over it (i.e. a home based Linux box), try changing the SSH port on your SSH server to a different port and connecting to it.
