Default LogicMail & Tiggit...

I can't seem to set up either of these programs to retrieve my Yahoo email. Is it imperative that you have yahoo plus?

My Opera Mini functions correctly as well as BB Maps... so I'm configured right there.

POP SETTINGS:
pop.mail.yahoo.com(port 110)
smtp.mail.yahoo.com(port 25)

Are these settings correct?

What else do I need to configure/correct in order for this to work?

Also, are thee other 3rd party email clients that are better than these?

Using:
Blackberry 7290 - ATT - NO BB DATA PACKAGE

Thanks.

You need Yahoo Plus to allow for POP retrieval of email.

Is it possible to set it up as IMAP to get around having a Yahoo Plus account? Or is this just a Yahoo thing?

I had a Nokia 6126 that I was able to retrieve my Yahoo email on 3 weeks ago. What is the difference in using a Blackberry and the 6126 in reference to email?

The limitations are that you must have Yahoo! Plus - this costs $20 per annum. Yahoo only provides POP3 access, not IMAP. Yahoo! also requires secure connections to their POP3 server either SSL or TLS. (Your servernames are correct but the port numbers are not.)

tiggit mail includes a wizard to help you configure connections to Yahoo! Plus. You should take care in terms of data package. If you can view a web page then tiggit mail can connect to your mail server - either directly or via an http tunnel.

Robert.
