Exclamation (POP) BB remotely connecting to Exchange

Please Login to Remove!

We are an office with 4 people, we have just had MS SBS 2003 server installed which includes Exchange. We have now changed from separate POP accounts to an SMTP feed directly to our server. This now means that our (POP) BlackBerry’s are not able to collect email from our email host anymore.

We do not have the money to purchase BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange. Do you know of any other way that we might be able to get email on our BlackBerrys apart from BES and setting up an Outlook forwarding mail rule (which means our PC’s must be left on permenantly).

I was wondering if you had ever heard of BlackBerrys connecting remotely to our Exchange server and collecting via POP or IMAP?

Create contacts that point to your carrier BIS/BWC accounts and forward a copy of each of the 4 peoples mail through the contact you created to the BIS/BWC account. Only problem with that is that sent mail doesn't show up in outlook.

The other option is to use the desktop redirector, but that involves leaving machines turned on and logged in and such.
