Brand New Unlocked BLACKBERRY ONYX 9700 Good Pin!!! - eBay (item 250506913528 end time Oct-03-09 18:22:46 PDT)

imo it's gotten ridiculously ugly @ how much ppl are willing to pay to get a phone b4 it comes out.....

.....or it could be aftermarket companies looking to get it in order to make accessories for it ?

Exclamation

I like how the Seller lists the condition as New, Never Opened but then shows a picture of the BlackBerry where it's CLEARLY been removed from the box!!!

And hey... it's got a good PIN! Well, a good PIN right up until RIM decides to disable it. But you too can have a paperweight for $1600!

I'm assuming some of the bidders are online bloggers that want to be one of the first to extensively review it. Or app developers that want to get a lead on creating apps specifically designed for it.

I HIGHLY doubt the buyer is going to use it just for personal phone use.

Why would you highly doubt it? Believe me, if the Vertu range of cell phones can sell for personal use, then these can sell for personal use as well.

Don't underestimate the power of stupidity.

you're right, let'em do whatever they want with their dough.

vast majority, including me would rather wait to get the phone 6-8 times cheaper thru the carrier.....

oh well....at least we know that seller will make a HUGE profit for this one device

+1 . Who knows how "good" the PIN will be in a month... It's not worth the risk, or the price.

The 9700 is awesome but $1600 is wasting money.

Yeah, they can do what they want with their money, but greed sure ain't pretty. That dough would buy an awful lot of Thanksgiving turkey for those out of jobs these days...
