Hi there

I has me a 9700 bold from 02 running on its origional firmware. I want to be able to input japanese characters but the phone cannot even read them. Is there a way of upgrading to fix this?

you will need to load a current OS that supports east asia input.
the past three releases that are posted in the sticky i know had east asia support.
download one, and during the install you can select what languages to put on the phone. if you only want to read the characters just install the font support as there is no need to install the full input support. and will save memory

Hello there and thankyou for your reply. Sorry if I sound completely useless by posting this but to which sticky are you reffering to? I'd like to be able to input characters too, how much more memory will this take over?
