i have tried calin my carrier and they told me that they would re-send the settings for the plan and that i should do a hard rest but it did not work,they say that tha plan is active but my device isnt recognizing it,ive tries regestrin the (HST) but it says regestration message sent and nothing changes.please help

Is this a blackberry that you have had regisitered on BIS for some time, and it stopped working? Or did you just have the BIS activated a very short time ago?

1. do you have EDGE or 3G in the top by your signal strength?
2. Do you have a data capable SIM card(if your with a carrier that uses SIM)

3. if you open MESSAGES, menu, compose PIN
send it to your own PIN(located in options-status) do you get a check mark when it sends? in the check mark to you get a 'D' or an 'R'
4. if you don't get a check mark I assume you will get a red X, open the message and scroll up, whats the error?

It is bad manners to hijack another's thread.

I assume that you have a BB data plan. Make sure you register on the Host Routing Table and then resend the service books.

im very srry but its realy important a realy wanted to no if he got it sortted out cuz my cellular representitive they said it was just my phone has the prob so i wanted to no if he sorted it out

Hello again,
I called my service provider which is Digicel Jamaica. They told me that the problem is my Blackberry 8320. It was because i wiped the phone and reinstalled the os but what has happen is that the setting for my data plan have been removed due to the wipe of the handheld. So maybe you could call your service provider and ask them to send the settings back to you

Not likely - not likely at all. The Data plan is provisioned by your provider and it's attached to the SIM card - not the phone. If you turn data or radio off, you will NOT have active data and/ or voice, but that's a simple phone setting. I've wiped and re-installed my OS's on many BB's hundreds of times, and not once did the data portion NOT work due to a wipe and re-install.

Hi, I get pending clock icon (small clock face) when sent PIN message to myself. What may be the reason?

eventually the timer clock would need to time out and you will probably end end up with a red X, open the message and scroll up... there should be an error message.... that error message will tell us why its happening

I was reading another thread on another forum.A girl on the forum said she called rim and talk to one of their Representatives and he said the problem on her phone is It is not receiving any service book setting and the rim person said it was a problem from there side so you could try calling rim because thats what im going to do tomorrow. They are only open from mon to fri

RIM is open 24/7 however is costs money if you call RIM directly unless you get transferred by your carrier.
