Some specs from BG were posted here: Blackberry 9700 Reaches Pre-Launch Stage with AT&T | BlackBerry Boards News

Doesn't look to offer much in the way of anything new however..

Wow. I am sort of a rookie to all this but I thought the Onyx was rumoured to have 3G. Sure seemed to make sense too. Disappointing if it does not!

Did you read the link in the post you quoted, it states umts/hsdpa which is 3g.

This device is rumored to be offered by both T-Mobile and AT&T, it would have to support both (different) 3G networks. And UMA on T-Mobile (rumored).

Thanks. Did not realize that the acronyms meant 3G. I never cared a thing about cell phones .... until I got my BB a few months ago!

I really do hope this device has UMA and 3G for T-Mobile. I really need it when inside the apartment.

I wish AT&T had something like UMA over rollover. I also wish I didn't have 5 lines in contract so I could save a little going w/ T-mobile :p
