Default How to break a BlackBerry?

Please Login to Remove!

What's an effective way to non-physically break a BlackBerry (older T-Mobile 7290)? I've had BBs that had corrupt OS or whatnot and couldn't be restored, so how can I do this myself?

(It's way out of warranty and my wife's company will only buy a new one if this one breaks).

Thanks.

Do something to the USB port then you can't charge it...

...no water damage either. True, a good drop or a dunk in the toilet would do the trick. But I'd rather she can just say it's not working instead of getting ribbed for dropping or dunking it.

I'll try nuking and then reinstalling the OS, but disconnected during the install or something. That sure hosed up my AT&T 8525 when my PC rebooted during a ROM flash.

Tazer it? Genious.

"So, why do you need a new company BlackBerry?"
"My other one was tazered."

Now that was funny. I almost spit out my drink laughing.
