I am having second thoughts on the curve now...
I hate the Pearl...
moving from a 7520 on Nextel.
Deabting between 8800 and curve...and suggestions?

I have had the pearl, the 8800 and the 8700c. Bought the pearl because I loved the size/form factor. Ended up hating suretype. I didn't like typing someone's name or a web address and not having the right key be "guessed".
Switched to the 8700c. Loved it. Had it for like 3 weeks before the 8800 was launched. could type wicked fast. Form factor not as bad as I thought it would be and it was a good phone.
Switched to the 8800. Loved it for like 1 day. Then started typing tons of words wrong, i ended up dropping the phone a lot because the body is very slippery, and I found it very WIDE and TALL despite being thin. I never used the GPS so that wasn't an issue for me. Did like the multimedia stuff on it.
Switched back to 8700c 3 months ago and remembered immediately why I liked it. Keyboard is perfect. keys are spaced, tactile and you can really jam on it when you have to type fast. But I really miss the multimedia aspects of the pearl/8800 and want the camera.
While everyone's story will vary, if you are coming from a 7520 (which looks a lot like a 7290 to me) I think you are going to want either a 8700 or an 8300. I just don't think you will like the keyboard on the 8800.
Hope that helps and best of luck. Final thing to consider is if you are coming from a Gov't agency then you may not be allowed to have a camera, in which case I would probably recommend the 8700 over the 8800.
If you do end up going for the 8700 I would recommend you check these sites and try to get familiar with upgrading the software because an 8700c running v4.2 is a terrific blackberry.
