OK, here's one I need a bit of help with.

I have several users on a BES, using wireless sync for e-mail.

When a user opens, reads, and deletes an e-mail on their desktop Outlook, the message remains on the Blackberry.

Why doesn't it delete on the Blackberry when it is deleted in Outlook on the desktop?

Note: If you delete on the BBy, it deletes on the desktop with no problem.

Is there a setting someplace that we have missed?

Yes, I'm sure this has been discussed, but I must be searching on the wrong key words.

I believe this is set on the individual Blackberry Devices.

On the BB device, inside of Messages, click the trackwheel and a menu will appear. Scroll until you see "Options" or "Email Options" and click the trackwheel to slect it. Once here, you should see an option for "Wireless Synchronization". Change this option to "Delete on Handheld & PC."

Are the users deleting the emails so they go to the deleted folder? If they do a shift+delete (immediate delete) it will not be reflected on the BB. The EMail must sit in the deleted folder until the BES processes the next batch sync.

I am working on BES 4.1.The device is synced with our Lotus Notes Mail servers.I have set the delete option on the blackberry to "HH and Mailbox".It's working fine.What I wanted to know was that is there any option on the BES itself ie setting it in the IT policy so that I don't require my users to set the "HH and Mailbox" option on the handheld??The policy itself should take care of the 2 way deletion??

This is typically the answer on this, but also note just how they are being deleted, if it never hits the deleted items folder, it will never be reconciled
