Default Hotlist - What is it?

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to sync my 8700c with my car and want to sync less than the entire phonebook in my BB (too many addresses). After doing a search of these forums, I still am unable to understand what the alternate to the entire phonebook, the "hotlist", is and how I can control which contacts are included. The 8700 did not come with a User's Guide and it is not available on line.

Can someone please help?

Thanks very much.

Default Hotlist

I did find the User's Guide on-line, but the only mention of the hotlist otion appears on page 74, and says "To share contacts that you have had contact with recently over the phone, select Hotlist Only."

I still would greatly appreciate it if someone who knows something about the software can tell me if there is a way to find out how the hotlist works, such as: how many entries can be in the hotlist? can you save entires to the hotlist? and so forth.

Thanks.

Time to bump this sucker. I'm running into a similar situation and maybe someone new can shed some light on the whole Hotlist thing.

going by your description I would assume the hotlist to be your recent calls list.

Go To Settings/ Bluetooth/Options/ Address Book Transfer then make your choice of Disabled, All entries, or hotlist only. I believe that it sends the numbers that you have recently dialed from your phone, but I don't have more details.
