Default BB for use in Saudi Arabia

I'm going to be visiting two refineries and petrochemicals sites in about 2 months time. I currently have a Rogers Wireless 8700 unit, can anyone tell me if EDGE/GPRS data services will be supported out there? I have a fair idea that the cell part will work though.

Thanks.

Default Data unavailable

Data service is not fully operational yet, you can go over the bridge to Bahrain to get data service. You are correct that the phone will work for ya.

Default Arabia

I don't know if Rogers would be up to date on what Saudi Telecomm is implementing, but as the previous poster said you can call them.

But like I said, Data service will not work yet unless you cross the bridge to Bahrain.

Thanks for the information guys. Rogers website is a pile of garbage as its usually out of date when it comes to coverage information and foreign roaming. I'll just work under the assumption that I have phone coverage only.
