Default Moving Email but not getting reconciled

Please Login to Remove!

Running BES 4.0 on 2K3 all patches. When an email arrives, it goes into exchange to the user's mailbox, and then into the user's BB. However, if I go into outlook and move the mail into a different folder, opened or not, the mail which has been moved does not leave the inbox of the BB. What can I do to correct this, or is it by default and I've missed it?

What happens on the BB if you do a manual reconcile? Open messages, click again and tell it to reconcile now. Does it work then?

Only thing I can think of to check is under the handheld email options, under email reconciliation, verify that wireless reconcile = on.

Unhappy

At this point I am out of ideas, if any of the experts on here have any suggestions please chime in. I would suggest calling RIM, you should have 30 days of free support if you didn't purchase T-Support.

Sorry I couldn't help.

Are the mailboxes youre moving the email too local pst files or subfolders of inbox?

If they are subfolders, do you have them set up for reconciliation for that user?

Yes they are on network .pst off of the Exchange Server....that gives me an idea. Will move mail from inbox to subfolder in mailbox and see what happens.

Well I moved mail from the inbox to another folder in that mailbox and it didn't reconcile off of my BB. The way I would like it is that only mail going into people's inbox will appear in the BB. If it gets moved to ANY folder using outlook then I want it to reconcile off of the BB. Am I making sense?

You need to make sure "Hide filed messages" is set on the Blackberry. If the user is moving items to a .pst, he will have to sync using Desktop Manager before those messages are filed.

Did you then configure that folder to be reconciled under the properties of that user on the BES?

Well then the only online folders you will have reconciled on your BB are inbox and sent items then

Ok then....call me stupid but isn't that what I want if I only want mail in the inbox. If I move mail out of the inbox in outlook into a pst either in the store or on a network share I want it to disappear off of my BB......how can I do that?
