I completed my conversion last night to black bezel, black buttons & memory card door, or course you then need to reuse sleep button on the top the charging connectors and the battery release. It looks pretty cool with mostly black and some silver accents to match up with the keyboard silver. Also did the keyboard upgrade.

I have (2) spare sets of black front bezels & removal tools for sale if anyone needs the parts. You will need to get the hex screwdriver.

What screen are others talking about, I have a screen at the top of mine but I don't see one on the bottom.

On the bottom, the microphone hole. Look on the inside and there's a black patch of screen material (under the rubber piece that you need to move as well).

I moved both screens. It took a flashlight, a pin, and a magnifying glass. Work around the edges, and both screens can be worked off of the old bezel without tearing. A little patience and its really pretty simple.

As far as feedback on the speakerphone, I think you will see it is really bad if you move the rubber piece (near the microphone hole) without the screens. That's when mine got bad.

I second that! Someone beat me to it!!! I have a second keyboard coming in from cnn because I didn't want to risk trying to pry the keys off without having a backup! Do they just pop off when you apply pressure from the back?

We're not talking about the keyboard coming out of the bezel, we are talking about the keys coming off of the keyboard, so that we can paint the silver bars in between them black.

Are you saying the keys come off easy? Should I push them out the back or pry them off the top?

No I wasn't talking about the individual keys coming off the rubber. I highly doubt they do and if you force them I'm sure you've ruined it. I think ppl are taking this a little too far.

We will see, I ordered a second keyboard to be safe. It's all in good fun I think. For me at least it is. I used to mess around with my original xbox's with a dremel and such to mod them as a hobby. I don't really think this is all that different. I can tell you one thing, If i didn't have so much free time at work I probably wouldn't be messing around with this stuff

hi all, just recently switched my bezel onto the new black one. and it looks kick @$$.

1 thing though, it seems that now when i make a call on non-3g network (GPRS / EDGE) there seems to static. however 3G still seems fine.

has anyone experienced this? or is there a way to get rid of it? or did i do something to make this happen?

thanks all
