Default Wireless sync and desktop sync - two pc's?

Please Login to Remove!

My office blackberry 8700c is set to wirelessly sync to our BES server. However I also want to syncronize on my home pc with a local copy of outlook. Is this possible? I get the error message to disable wireless sync in handheld apps before sync can occur on home pc. Any other way to do this? Thanks.

I don't think there's a workaround. Unless you sync to your PC very frequently, should not be too much of a hassle to turn off the wireless sync.

Does anyone if I turn off wireless sync, to sync with my desktop at home and then reactivate wireless will it then sync all changes that were made via the desktop sync?

I am surprised that this is not more of an issue with people using a work and home pc with a blackberry.

Thanks.

Default Outlook <wired> BB <wireless> Lotus Notes

I sync my BB to both my home desktop and my work laptop (via BES). The calendar, contacts, and tasks all sync wirelessly via BES to Lotus Notes. I have Desktop Manager installed on home desktop to sync to Outlook 2003.

This all seems to work fine, however, I've noticed that contacts changed or deleted in Outlook sync to the BB fine, however, the wireless sync to Notes wipes out the Outlook changes on my BB, and even re-inserts a contact onto the BB that was deleted in Outlook.

For some reason, changes in Outlook that sync to the BB get wiped out by the wireless sync, but changes directly made in the BB don't get wiped out by the wireless sync.

Of course, in order to sync to Outlook via Desktop Manager I have to turn off the wireless sync in all three BB apps prior to performing the Desktop sync. While turning the wireless sync back on in the BB, I receive a message that any changes made while the wireless sync was off may be lost - which is exactly what is happening. Anyone have any ideas how to get around this??

Also, new contacts created in Outlook sync perfectly to Lotus Notes; it is only the changes or deletes in Outlook that don't work.

I have experienced something like this as well. I am trying to keep Outlook (on my home PC) and Notes (on my work PC) in sync via the BB (as a central repository of info).
I am seeing that changes made in Outlook - which update the BB - are not being recognised by Notes, and vice versa. But changes made directly into the BB are recognised by both apps.
I have tried to get around this by deleting all entries on the PC and exporting from the handheld, but when I try to go back to synchronisation I find that it all goes haywire - I end up tons of conflicts, which end up doubling the number of addresses. Only after I have deleted the duplicate addresses does it start working normally again. Then when I go home or to work, I have to go through the same process all over again. Very frustrating.
