Default Dropped Calls

Please Login to Remove!

Been getting a lot of dropped calls, and also people telling me that its ringing on their end but not mine, ever since i updated to ATT's newest released software, BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.645. Could this be caused by the new OS? Anyone else experience these problems? Other then trying a newer OS, anything else to look into to? Settings, reloading current OS, etc? Thanks!!

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

What is your coverage when the call drops?

3G and low....shouldn't it switch to 2G before it drops the call?

Switched to 2G only mode and its been much better. Kind of frustrating because 3G worked better on my 9000.

worth updating to the newest OS?

I'm on a different network but I haven't had any dropped call issues and mine seems to transition from 3G to 2G without issue when i'm on a call. I'm on OS 5.0.0.423.

I use a Bold 9700 and when it switches between 3g and 2g sometimes whilst on a call they drop, also people text me saying they have phoned and it's gone to voicemail.

I have also experienced a delay in voicemails, is anyone else experiencing these issues.

I'm in the UK on o2 network, any ideas peeps

Haven't seen any problems like that and I have AT&T using the latest OS from this forum, .442. You can get it here (or at the top of this forum):
