hi people, 1st-time BB user here. really confused how the browser works. it doesn't work when I type in the web address, but works in the "search" window which I assume goes to/uses web2go..(sorry if i'm using confusing terminology here)

let me try to explain as detailed as possible:

Step A
1. click Browser (not web2g0)
2. type web address inside Top or first Box of this page
3. click trackpad
4. result = "Unable to connect to selected Mobile Data Service"

Step B
1. click Browser (not web2g0)
2. type "blackberry forums" in second/search Box of this page (which i'm assuming uses web2go as the browser)
3. click trackpad
4. result = success! i'm on the net

by the way, I have BES, should'nt the BB Browser option work and not just web2g0?

can anyone clear this up for me?

go to broser options and change browser to hotspot

This is a BES issue. Speak to your IT Department.

i was just wondering why all other browser options worked and not the BB one.

is there something specific I should tell them..i.e. "flip the switch", ""permissions"?
