I was fighting to get it to work for few days and then ATT sent me a replacement device.
The new Pearl works with my SIM card fine, is showing EDGE and got registered with network with no problem, has two browsers and all bunch of entries in HRT
It drives me crazy that I can't figure my old one out. Is it possible to hard clone configuration from my new one to the old one. I tried re-installing the OS, Switch Device Wizard, and Back Up and restore from my new one. Nothing helps, still edge and nothing in HRT.

Maybe it is really broken? I suspect it is a configuration related issue though.

Any ideas?

You can't clones those settings over.

Since ATT sent you a replacement, don't you have to send the old one back anyway??? If it was a warranty replacement, they will charge you for the new one if you don't return the broken one within a certain amount of time.

I'd like to keep it, it'll cost me $25. I got a deal on the refurbished one off the att premier web site.

Yeah, for that price, it's worth keeping and trying to fix. If you get it fixed, you can make some money off it.
