hmmm...i think its plastic. it doesnt feel or seem very glass like. but i can't tell, so am not sure. and about scratching....well, im sure its quite resistant through normal useage, but if you was to bring a sharp edge to it ? or drop it ? i would doubt it wont get a scratch.

The spring action underneath the screen is what I understand to cause the click, not something like the screen bending.

Any idea what the 8300 series screen is? It feels like plastic but I can't find any documentation on RIM's site.
Thanks

Yeah, it won't make it to AT&T. Not even other CDMA carriers from what I understand. Just Verizon.

Really!? Thats good for Verizon, but not a smart move for RIM. I know a lot of iPhone customers that would love to have the Storm.

Well from what I've heard from a few people I know at at&t, there will actually be a version of the Storm in GSM form. Who knows at this point, but I definitely would not doubt it coming to at&t after the new year! The death star (at&t) always gets there hands on most Berrys sooner or later...

No. RIM and Verizon have an exclusive on the storm. It won't even show up on Sprint, etc.
Now, does that mean there won't be another BB touchscreen? Of course not. They'll bring out something else for the rest.

GSM carriers will get their own version of the Storm. I've said this for months. I'm not saying it will be called the Storm either. BR did a story on it yesterday I believe.

Right. In 6 months, they'll get some GSM-only 'berry that looks *just like* a Storm, but it's not a Storm (no, no, definitely NOT a Storm) and it has WiFi built in....
