Default Pearl bluetooth problem -- dropping

Please Login to Remove!

I have had a Pearl for a few months now with no issues.

But lately the Bluetooth is acting weird.

I use the Bluetooth to sync with my car ... Acura TL and home phone system ... Motorola C51 system.

With the car ... it will just drop and connect drop and connect constantly ... like every 2 seconds. I have tried doing reboots (taking battery out), and even re-pairing. I have also tried a suggestion on here to disable the security feature, and that too does not help. It use to work flawlesly before.

On the home system ... it will drop the bluetooth link from time to time (usually in the middle of a call). The phone system is 5.8ghz ... is that interfering?

I am on Tmobile with latest upgrade (64?).

Thanks in advance for any help.

does your car hold a solid bluetooth connection with other phones?

Thats weird. I just got a Pearl, and it would do the same thing with my TL also. So I did some research and the best I could come up with was that it was a phone issue, so I exchanged it for a new one. The new one works great, but sounds like I may have that issue a couple months from now.

The only thing that I could tell you is to try to do a firmware upgrade, look for my post over at howardforums in the RIM section.

I'm having exactly the same issue quoted above: I have an Acura TL and Pearl 8100. It also used to work flawlessly, but lately has been dropping and reconnecting about every 2 seconds (making the phone and the bluetooth useless while that goes on). I had the bluetooth unit in my car replaced yesterday - no help at all. I then paired a Treo phone to my car and confirmed that it maintained the connection with no issues. Have you been able to determine what causes this, or better still, how to fix it? Thanks!

Default It's the memory

I had the same problem and just fixed another problem that was caused by not enough memory (dropped msgs and emails in the lists) and guess what... so far (one test run) it is fixed! No more psychotic bluetooth connection!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I have the same problem, but it's with two Bluetooth headsets. Both of them worked flawlessly with my 7105t. I am running .71, but had the problem when I was on .64 as well.
