Default avoid highway option

Please Login to Remove!

hey everyone.. i have google maps & i love it. EXCEPT for the fact that there is no 'avoid-highway' option. the old google maps i had on my treo had that option. i live in los angeles, and when i'm going through downtown, it's just easier to get around through streets--especially with l.a. traffic.

can anyone suggest a free gps application that offers that?

While you asked for free, I would still recommend TeleNav. Best GPS hands down IMO and well worth the $10/mo

Doesn't Win LiveSearch have a traffic option?

I don't use the traffic monitors much, the best I can do is have to avoid a couple runners or a stray jogger on my way to the office.

We told you to stay away from EZ's running path...
