I had my curve sunk in the toilet by a couple of humourous sons a week ago. I did the rice in a box trick which worked as when i turned it on 5 days later it worked as before. Then when it came to charging it - no action. Just a solid red lcd for a couple of minutes and then the display showed a battery with a red score through it. Obviously the battery works cause it had recovered until the charge ran out so does anyone have any ideas?
Replace it. Water and BBs do not mix and mingle very well.
You could try a new battery, but my guess is there is a short somewhere in the motherboard. Could talk all day and who knows what the cost to fix. Cut your losses and replace it.
You may want to try and do a hard reset on it to see if that helps at all. Good luck either way. Make sure you back up all data you want saved because it will be deleted when you wipe the handheld.
