this is a rumor.. but a wifi model has already been produced.
not on the market but have held it in my hands while at rims hq
nice idea but doesnt seem to practical as it only works when in range of a wifi router...
but no plan needed for it just buy the device

Good idea if it had EDGE secondary or backup...

The WiFi only BB is out. It is called the model 7270 and is for campus/factory environments with WiFi and not for roaming around to different hotspots.

as far as I have heard, edge device should be out in august and a new full keyboard 7100 type + edge should be out by october

I can understand a 7100 being the first with edge technology. But i do not ever seeing it with a full keyboard. That is how it got its size. pink

The EDGE network is already out. The UMTS network is being rolled out this year.
