Default How often do you pull your 8100 battery?

Please Login to Remove!

Just curious, but attempting to turn on my Pearl this morning it sat there with it's orange Cingular screen for two minutes, causing me to pull the battery for the first time today. Yesterday it was for some other reasons, the day before some other reasons yet again. I think I'm averaging about 2-3 times a day.

How about you?

Almost never (can't remember the last time) I use the BB for mostly data and msg's and not so much as a pure phone so I don't know if that matters. I also have the Ramble app loaded as my only 3rd party app. What is loaded on yours and what OS version are you running? Has it always been the case or did it start after you did _____ ...

This my first BB, and I've had it about a month. I've had trouble with the Enterprise Activation, and admit to loading a fair number of apps on it (because I'm a geek at heart). Hopefully my EA troubles are behind me and I plan to whittle some unnecessary programs off it. I'll let it settle in and see if that helps.

I've had mine for a little over a week and I had to pull the battery like 3 or 4 times

Where do you get SoftReset? I saw one for Palm, but I couldn't see one for BB.

Thanks.

I use SoftReset when I absolutely need to do a reset - such as when I've installed new themes. If there's an application that has locked up, such as BBweather (when you don't have a profile configured the first time) all you need to do is hold down the power/hang up button for a few seconds and it will shut down. Power back on, it unhangs the app and shows an error.

I rarely have to pull the battery. Only if I get into an area with only GSM service do I hard reset.

I never needed to pull the bat (unlike my 7100)... But maybe thats because of jive messenger. That resets the device after installing/upgrading
