Default BES Groupwise and 1 User's Addressbook

Please Login to Remove!

We have a 5 user BES setup that attaches to our Groupwise 7 system. Everything works great except that for one of our users his personal addressbook won't synchronize. Changes made on the BB don't replicate into Groupwise and changes in the addressbook in Groupwise don't replicate to the BB. I have the user's addressbook selected in BB Manager, and I have disassociated and re-associated the address book to his BB. There aren't any errors showing up in the logfiles. Everything else works fine on this user's BB. Any ideas on what else to try?

Which version of BES? (If it's 4.1.2 are you in SOAP mode?)
Which version and release date of GroupWise client?

Is there a GWPA log file been created?

We are running BES version 4.1.2.20 and Groupwise client version 6.5.6 dated 2/1/2006. We are not running in SOAP mode. The GWPA file is not being created every day. The last file is from 2/3. Should this file be created every day in the log directory? One thing I noticed in the file from 2/3 is "User PIM Status: Contacts=Init" whereas everyone else's entries say "Active" instead of "Init". I'm assuming this has something to do with it. Is there anything else I can check?

I went into the user and changed their address book to none, which means the address book that is currently on the bb should be emptied. Nothing was deleted from the bb. Restarting the groupwise service did not have any effect either.

One more interesting thing is that I do not see the "wireless synchronization" option within address book options. I was going to try to disable and re-enable wireless sync, but I can't without the option in the menu. I don't have any IT Policies setup on the bes, so can you think of any other reason that option wouldn't show up?

Deleting/Undeleting and resending the desktop sync service book did not do anything, either.

pkphreak, I am experiencing the same issue but the user's BlackBerry does show yes next to wireless synchronization. For some reason they have addresses that were on the BlackBerry and now are not but still show up in GroupWise. Our server versions are the same as yours.

I don't want to resend the activation as this user is affraid she'll lose more information. Any other suggestions?
