Default 8900 and wifi issues

Please Login to Remove!

I know this has been asked before but here goes

To begin with I do not have a blackberry account or data plan
However I just wish to use the phone for texts and calls and would like to install a third party mail client to access email ove work and home wifi however this is my problem the phone detects the wifi connection but everytime I use the browser to surf the net it will not default to wifi but instead uses the wap/data network. I have the browser set to hotspot browser but it is still using the o2 uk data network. What can I do to make sure it only uses wifi for data but a no other time. Even when I turn of the mobile antenna it still wont use wifi. Is there a policy I can turn on to make it work or maybe a third party browser.

Thanks

You need the BB data plan to get the WFi service books to connect to WiFi.

Call your cell carrier and ask then to activate a Blackberry data plan on your account.
