Default Another Noob Question On Emails

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

sorry again if this is a silly question, i have my 8320 setup now to collect emails from my hotmail work email and blackberry email address and has been working fine, i have noticed that i dont seem to recive emails at night time, is this right or do i need to do somthing, is there a auto seting that after a time at night it stops reciving and starts again in the morning?

sorry if this is a stupid question

thanks in advance

Never a stupid question.

No, there is not a timer on the email app, email flows regardless.

Now, Hotmail has reportedly had some issues this past couple of days, perhaps you experience that? I wonder if there is something else interfering with your mail receipt in the evenings? Like WiFi not switching over or something?

Sounds like you have it set up to go to sleep at night. Options > Auto On/Off to change it

Not necessarily so if you have the device set to go to turn on and off at certain times. If it goes to sleep then all functions are stopped until the device wakes up again and then all mail is received at that time.

I honestly was auto-ASSuming the BB would be turned on. The auto on-off would slightly hamper the BB ability to receive email.

Agreed~!

ahhhh.. you are getting somewhere.

And I don't know WiFi 8320s too well. But it would seem your WiFi is not switching over?
