I've run it all day on my curve (8310). I have the Seido 2600 mha battery, and usually use between 5 and 10% in a day... so far to day I've only used 15%, so it's not too tough on the battery... and I didn't close it all day... just exited and left it running.

They push twitterberry and other items and this one seems to be working well on the first public build

Very few complaints on this app personally. Like Tinytwitter, but for a beta Uber is passing it by. I have sent in some suggestions but overall a fantastic start.

I was then prompted about the changes in permissions requested. Ubertwitter wanted to set *everything* to Allow. That seems like a little much, from my perspective. Obviously I can modify as I see fit, but limiting access seemed to impact the app's operation, so I wonder whether there's really any choice at all...
Either way, I'm sticking with TinyTwitter for now.

OK, I tried installing this app again.
Went through the permissions and tweaked a little.
Found out that there's an option to not post location data with each tweet (duh, I should've expected that).
I'm running this alongside Tiny Twitter for comparison...

I really like messing around with this app. It shows so much different things then the others. I recommend ppls give it a go and try it.

I must be the only one to get Unknown Error. I don't have TCP / WAP details set up on my device as O2 UK charge me extra for non-BIS data. As a result unfortunately UberTwitter can't communicate with the network. Only TCP and MDS are supported.

My hope is that future builds will have a search function and the ability to follow other than through the trendy topic area

I am guessing Uber operates using TCP / APN?
I can not get it to access any connections at all. I have tried all the settings and I have uninstalled and re-installed three times.
I am on Centennial Wireless which does not allow access to APN or streaming.
