Default Just a little Question regarding my BlackBerry Curve 8520..

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All..

Just a Little question I'd like to ask..
Is their any simple way I can downgrade from OS5 to OS4.7? Or an upgrade from 5.0.0.681?
And also, if I was to change OS version, would my BlackBerry lock itself back to its default network? I was on Orange but I got my bb unlocked so I could go on o2..

Manythanks,
Kyle.

No, changing the OS does not relock your phone.

To change the OS, the best way is to make a backup and/or sync your contacts and calendar with Outlook or Google.

Then wipe it with Jl_cmder (see the FAQ) and then load a specific OS for your device - i.e. since you have an 8520, you must load an 8520 OS. See the yellow sticky at the top of the 8500 section for the OS and instructions. For earlier releases, see the RIM website.
