You are sure you have the blackberry specific email and internet plan?
Try with wi-fi on only.

Another t-mobile Uk user here, has been having the same message with app world.
I havent, but my GPRS has been going down to gprs and I currently cant get it back.
I would say *guess* theres a data problem somewhere in the UK/RIM servers etc.

Here is the solution which worked for me. I am running a Curve 8900 on O2 in he UK.

Go to the internet email for your service provider. For example, for O2 it is BlackBerry Internet Service

Log in using your username and password

Click Help

Click Send Service Books

That seemed to crack it for me - good luck

You need to subscribe to a BlackBerry Data Plan in order to get service books.
A "regular" Internet Plan is not sufficient. You need a specific BLACKBERRY data plan.

If they can log in to the BIS site to click the send service books option, they have the blackberry data plan.

The good news is that you can drop the old generic data plan when you pick up the BlackBerry data plan.
