Why is it soo expensive?

Why is the 9000 bold so expensive? Is it just like any other kind of blackberry? Or does it have more features to it?

Very colorful signature
Read: May work for Myspace, but hardly appropriate here

"My smile makes you wan to misbehave" is inappropriate??
Anywho, I think it's so expensive right now cause it hasn't been released in the US. So you're seeing very inflated pricing. Once it's released by at&t, I'm sure pricing will go down a bit.

Excellent question! I think the latest is October on at&t. There's also rumor that stores can order the Bold on the 24th of this month.

lol...you are asking a bunch of BlackBerry fanatics.
I actually have an iPhone and have tried using it instead of my Bold for day to day use. I always go back to the Bold. For email, it's just superior and the Bold has a great web browser as well. So, I've been very content with sticking with the Bold.

My exact dilemma!! I would love a Bold but the size is a deal breaker for me. Love the small form factor of the 81xx.

I would really like a Pearl for the size but just can't deal with the SureType. It's pretty good technology but I get to easily frustrated with it.

Thanks! I'm guessing i'll go with Blackberries. :D
When I very first bought my blackberry, I was not upset at all. I loved it soo much. Is bold any different from the other blackberries like curve or anything? Like the functions and programs??

Same reliable BlackBerry interface but the UI has subtle improvements in calendar, tasks, address book. The email is the same and has html capability now.
Basically, if you had a BB before, you'll pick it up again. All the shortcuts, icons, etc are the same. But, depending on the last one you had, you'll immediately be impressed by the screen resolution and overall speed of the Bold.

Exactly! The thing looks like a behemoth! That's why I'm eyeballing the Javelin! More in line with the Curve's footprint, with the look and feel of the bold!

I can understand both your points. It really doesn't feel that big when you're holding it though.
If I had more will power, I'd probably hold out for the Javelin. But then I'd be wishing I had 3G and probably would end up with a Bold anyway...

Well when it makes its appearance, it's rumored to be a VZW exclusive... at least for some period of time. I'm not crazy about touch screens at all. If it had a hideaway/slideaway keyboard, I'd be more likely to give it a shot.
