Default Actiavation Problem: Annoying!!

Please Login to Remove!

My friend's 9000 was stolen 2 weeks before and now she got a brand new 9700 from T-Mobile and unlocked it as I did with my 9700. Now she got replaced SIM, so BIS service is active already. When she first turned ON her 9700 she got a msg that blackberry has completely registered with carrier. So edge are in caps, 'EDGE'. But no Service Books were delivered. She never created account on BIS, so she called the carrier and asked them to change her device from stolen one to this one and even create her BIS account coz BIS was not accepting when creating. Idk why. Well she got in the BIS and the operator said he did changed the device successfully.

Now she configured email, it did success with the tick mark but she didn't get any SB or email folder. I tried to PIN, error says service blocked. Sent SB, nothing happened. HRT list is fine but nothing is in 'boldface'

In Email settings on device she has only Enterprise option not personal email.

What could be the problem?

Tried updating the OS, wiping the device. Still no luck !!
I didnt have this problem.

Carrier operator: Tmobile must have locked the pin! How can they when it was a sealed box bought from T-Mobile corporate store.

Wirelessly posted (9520; (I'm mobile))

Return it and get another and have THEM set it up IN the store before leaving.

don_poky,

If a BlackBerry Smartphone cannot connect to the appropriate wireless network or if email messages cannot be sent or received, you can try to register the Blackberry Smartphone over the wireless network. Registering the Blackberry Smartphone authenticates the BlackBerry Smartphone on the wireless network and BlackBerry Infrastructure to allow data traffic to be passed to the and from the BlackBerry Smartphone. This is also known as "Register Now"

1) On the Home screen, click “Options” -> “Advanced Options” -> “Host Routing Table”
2) Display the Menu by pressing the Menu Key and select “Register Now”
3) Confirm that the User receives a registration message.

Hope this helps,
