It's simple, talked to a lot of people, to include this forum. So I weighed my options and made a choice. Not to mention, I tend to not pay attention to banners under posts. Just a forum habit. So don't be offended because I didn't choose a forum supporter.

Also the ones with the Horizon plug was posts 7 and 10 not intial replys.

Now I will admit Thatzmister2u did direct me to his signature but by then I had made a choice of vendor to provide the code which did not work and I admit that.

And I have said I will check with horizon about unlocking my phone. So don't get your panties in a bunch over this small issue. Its not like I am trying to convert you guys to a iPhone or anything.

There's a reason we recommend Horizon Wireless. They're a very reputable company, they're a sponsor of this forum, and they have excellent customer service. If not, then I don't think you would see so may recommendations (in just this thread alone).

I appreciate it. But since I am new and not one who has been lurking in the forum, I tend to be skeptical of most ads. But lesson learned and now giving Horizon a shot.

I would call replies #7-8 somewhat initial in a thread 20 replies long.

And my panties? Heck, I didn't wear any today, free wheeling it so to speak.

Anyway, there's the advice, see what the crowd thinks and good luck.

You shouldn't have to insert the SIM, but if it works with the SIM...

My phone shows network Active and the rest disabled. I actually followed these steps when I first got the 8100 to see if it was locked.
