Default Storm touch screen won't open anything?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, please help if you can.

I bought a Grade A used 9500 Storm a few weeks ago.

Last week on holiday the touch screen stopped functioning correctly. I could scroll and highlight when touching - but nothing would open or activate.

After reading online yesterday I found the reset button on back of phone and pressed it - phone then worked as normal.

This morning however - the screen is back to not working, pressing reset button does nothing.

Green button works (but I can't select anything on screen)
Red button works.
Menu button works.
Return button works.
Handset lock works.

Volume up and down does not work.
Camera button does not work.

I can select menu and scroll up and down - applications are highlighted when I press them, but clicking on screen doesn't open anything.

I notice the phone is in otherwise excellent condition and looks new tbh but the battery looks very worn and has a red line through the paper tab.

I'm now wondering if the phone was previously wet or just the battery which is from another phone.

Any hints appreciated.

p.s. I have tried the paper business card behind the battery and this does not fix.

Sounds like a low memory condition, or maybe the theme you are using needs to be changed.

Other obvious areas are that the phone was dropped. You state that there is a reset button on the back of the phone. Are you sure that this is a Storm 9500, and not some knock-off?
