I think kyububba wants the # of beta testers to be controlled. His invitations clearly states not to share his OTA links with other blackberry users.

I now understand. Seems like a nice thing to have.

I used to run RIM Yahoo, RIM GoogleTalk and OZ or Ramble for AIM all at the same time with no problems. Then I bought IM+, then started testing JT.
takes more space, more flash memory, you will use up all your open ports (limited on BB) and consume your battery faster. At least this is my understanding...

PS I would never pay $50 for an IM program such as IM+. I mean i like IM+ but i do not think $50 is the right price...

Just noticed that JT is not automatically switching me to "away"? I have it set at 3 mins. Do you need to have the application on the front screen for this to work?

anyone tested this? this might explain my battery drain as i recall that JT added a feature to reduce battery usage when it switched to "away" mode.

we looked into this a bit more and apparently it's much simpler than we originally thought. your custom statuses should work now on MSN. there is a personal message field in MSN we weren't using. The latest server patch pushed out today supports this.

Thanks. It works great.

I am still having the issue of JT not setting my status on 'idle' automatically. I have it set at 3 mins under preferences.

My only problem is not just JT but all IM programs after updating my OS to the new TIM version.

It seems when I run "any" IM program I cant send MMS and can only receive the message headers and txt, not the pics. Sending and receiving pictures by email works fine though which is strange.

Its no real big problem as it still saves all the MMS you want to send and you have the message headers and text of what your going to receive. I just stop any IM program I am running, click send or receive all, then restart the IM program.

The new version is running great! I've had no huge delays in mesage delivery (the grey letters), and no more problems logging in all. I also have not been booted since installing the new version. Keep up the awesome work guys!

I would like to see a persistent login option so I don't go to check for a message I've been waiting on only to find I've been booted or "logged in from another location"... That was a nice thing about verichat, there was no accidently kicking me off from home cause it would kick right back!

WebMessenger also tries to log back on automatically after a disconnect. It is an essential feature, I think.

Emphasis on the word "tries". WebMessenger does a terrible job of trying, IMHO. The Achilles Heel of the whole app is it's failure to effectively re-login after a phone call or other disconnect. It requires constant babysitting.

OTOH, I've been *very* impressed with JiveTalk's reconnection ability in the short time I've been using it so for. Great work guys!

it does work when it reconnects after a long phone call but to your point, sometimes i leave it on all night and wake up in the morning to see it either completely disconnected or has 1 or IM services (e.g. AIM and MSN)

I had that happen last night. I woke up and JT was still running but all 3 of my services were not connected. I forgot the error message it gave, I should have wrote it down.
