Default Multiple E-mails question

Please Login to Remove!

Hey I started using my BB and set up 5 e-mail addresses. All went smoothly I thought and it confirmed they were set up. I got confirmation e-mails and I was happy.

Now I have realised that I haven't had many e-mails coming through (2 in 3 days). So I got suspicious. I checked Outlook and of course there were other e-mails.

So I checked my BB settings and under e-mail settings is an option "message services". This has one of the e-mail accounts that I set up. Under E-mail reconciliation is the same.

I can only assume therefore, that the last e-mail account I set up is the one working, and this of course only received 2 e-mails, I set it up last because I barely use it.

So my question is, how can I get all of the e-mail accounts to work? I really can't just have one e-mail address working, and it seems illogical to have to keep changing the settings to see the others.

Anyone who can help me better understand this process will be greatly appreciated.

Much obliged,

Eoin

How did you set them up - all under BIS? Are all 5 accounts listed in BIS? DO you have "Leave mail on server" checked in the Outlook Advanced Settings for each email account?

Have you checked the email section of our FAQ?

Default Hey

Firstly thanks for the reply.

Yes I have BIS I think. It's a personal account and I set up the Blackberry service, I also set up unlimited Internet (although from what I can see I don't necessarilly need that for the problem at hand).

I have set up the leave mail on server in Outlook for all the accounts. Except Hotmail, which doesn't let me. That is fine.

I will take a look at the e-mail section of the FAQ now thank you.
{I have looked and it simply says to do the Outlook thing and reset my BB, I have done these things}

Do you know the answer to the question relating to my settings? It looks as though you can only use one e-mail address at the time, but I might have the wrong end of the stick.

No, you can use all emails addresses; the setting is so you can use different settings for different email accounts.

i.e. you pick email 1 and setup to prompt where you want them deleted.
pick email 3 and tell it to delete on handheld only
pick email 6 and tell it to delete from handheld and server

oh ok, so it doesn't matter which one appears to be selected at that moment in time, as they are all selected that option is just selected for editing... if you see what I mean...
