Default Cracked my screen/faceplate, help?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys, I dropped my curve just right the other day and broke the hard plastic over the LCD screen. It's a spider web now. The LCD is fine.

Is there anywhere to just get the front housing? More specifically with the hard clear plastic that covers the screen?

If there's any links or places to buy, please let me know. I was going to try RIM's website as well.

Wirelessly posted (8520 (5.0.0.411))

You only need a T6 torx to take the BB apart. Also some soft plastic levers are good to have, never use knives or anything because they tear what you're keeping to pieces. I also find it useful to follow a disassembly guide when taking my BB apart in the past. Just google BlackBerry 8300 disassembly and you'll have all you need.

I cracked mine over a year ago and ordered the replacement off eBay. I tried to find that little driver locally, but was unable to so ended up suffering with the cracked screen for about a month or so, until I realized that it just lays right over top and is help down by some sticky tape.

I was able to slide my fingernail underneath the edge up top and get it off that way. I cleaned out all the dust and put the new one on.

Really simple actually, and no tools were required.

Shoot, just realized that you have the 8100. I have the Curve 8320 so am not sure if it is the same with yours.
