I was able to slide my fingernail underneath the edge up top and get it off that way. I cleaned out all the dust and put the new one on.
Really simple actually, and no tools were required.

Shoot, just realized that you have the 8100. I have the Curve 8320 so am not sure if it is the same with yours.
