Default Address Book backup to MEMORY CARD?

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know if the address book can be saved to an inserted Micro SD MEMORY CARD . . . as opposed to copying the individual contacts to SIM card?

I have already seen several explanations on how to copy the contacts one-at-a-time to SIM card . . . but I am seeking a solution that might allow me to copy the ENTIRE address book to a memory card if possible for transfer to a replacement Curve I will receive in a few days.

I have no connectivity on my current device because the USB port does not work (for charging or for connecting to computer). This is the main reason I am exchanging to a new Curve. I have also read several posts indicating that my Curve won't send contacts to my Mac via Bluetooth. If I cannot export via the USB or Bluetooth, I am assuming I need to save these contacts within the Curve, onto SIM card or MEMORY card.

There are more contacts than I would like to re-enter to the new device manually. Although MOST of the address book was backed up to computer before the port failed, I have a few hundred newer contacts in the device that are not backed up because they have no road out of the device.

Not possible.

Sure you can. I do this all the time.
Just pair the two and then you'll be able to send the entire address book as a vcard file.

Do you have a GMail account? If so, install Google Sync and then you can sync your address book over-the-air.

This looks like good news, THANKS for the notes. I don't have a GMail account but I want to try the VCard method you suggest.

I haven't done this before, so let me just clarify . . . I can send contacts from BBerry TO Mac as a Vcard file? Or does it only work in the OTHER direction, Mac to BBerry?

in my Address Book Properties, the DEFAULT setting shows Wireless Synchronization is Not Available . . . can this be changed to allow Bluetooth sync?

Yes, exactly. Pair the Mac and BackBerry.
Once paired, go into the Bluetooth settings on the BlackBerry.
Select the Mac from the list of paired devices... click the menu button on the device... choose Transfer Contacts.

Simple as that.

No, that setting is only for BES users. It's not related to Bluetooth at all.

THANKS, sorry to say I'm getting closer but still not seeing this path yet.
I have the BBerry paired with my Mac. The Mac appears in the BB's list of Paired Devices (it's the only paired device). But when I select the mac on my BBerry list of paired devices, the menu of choices on my BBerry does not include TRANSFER CONTACTS. I have viewed the Full menu, and I have selected Options within the Full Menu, but I still do not see an option to TRANSFER CONTACTS.

My BBerry's Bluetooth Options screen does include an entry called ADDRESS BOOK TRANSFER, and it is currently set to ALL ENTRIES (as opposed to other optional settings for transferring only selected contacts or lists of contacts) . . . but then there is no action to take on this screen, transferring does not appear here as an available option, only changing the Address Book Transfer settings is an option here. I think I'm close but I still cannot see how to send these contacts out of the BBerry onto the Mac. Thanks / Sorry . . .
