My 8900 (running .231) is wasting more and more of my time with a little clock face and spinning hand. It comes up with all types of programs running. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

How much free memory is on the device (Options / Status) will tell you. Have you added any programs recently?

Thanks for the quick reply. Free memory is 105582534. Can't think of anything I've added recently - other than Aurkon, which is supposed to take a backseat to everything else.

and is this a 4.6 release or a 5.0 release?

I don't really have that many installed other than the google suite, certainly none running on a constant basis (other than Aurkon, as mentioned above).

I'm on 4.6, waiting for TMO to approve 5.0 for the 8900.

Aurkon (which I just looked up as I'm not familiar with it) seems to run in the background. Is there any way to stop it (rather than uninstalling it) to see if it is contributing?

I've only been running .509 for a week now, but based on my experience in that short time I would agree with JC. Seems like better performance and less of the spinning clock than any other version I've run on the 8900 (4.6.x or 5.0.x).

No, it's not the OS 4.6. I bet it's the app that he installed taking up some memory to run. I'd delete it just to see if that fixes it, and if it does and you HAVE to have it then see what you can do to turn it off. Is your battery life suffering?
